With the new season comes a series of ""firsts"". We find out that there will be not one but TWO bachelors, and that the ladies get to pick which one they want to stay. We are introduced to Byron and Jay. They get to meet and get to know a little bit more about each other when videos are shown about both of them. The women arrive and go chill out together, all the while being spied on by the bachelors who are watching them on a TV. Then Chris Harrison tells them he's bringing out the Bachelor, right now! Out walks Jay and then to everyone's surprise, Byron comes out! Chris then explains the new concept to the women and then sets the bachelors loose on the women. Everyone mingles, some women already know who they like while others are torn between the two guys. Later everyone goes to get ready for the first women's rose ceremony.
