Gunpowder

Nobleman Robert Catesby attends a secret mass that is interrupted by the king's men. Their barbaric acts against the people in attendance leads Catesby to devise an explosive and treasonous plot to avenge his kin.

Catesby and Wintour travel to Europe where they hope to secure the King of Spain's assistance; Lord Cecil pressures Catesby's cousin; Guy Fawkes is introduced in Flanders.

Catesby, Fawkes and the plotters place barrels of gunpowder in the tunnels beneath Parliament; Father Garnet is pressured to disclose Catesby's plan.
