One of the longest-running series on television, Supernatural follows the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester. After their mother’s tragic death, the two brothers follow their father’s footsteps as hunters. And by hunters, meaning fighting every supernatural threat that walks the Earth and beyond.
As they navigate a world with paranormal evil lurking in every corner, the brothers most especially want justice for their mother’s death, which means tracking the demon that killed her, no matter the costs. Running on TV between 2005 and 2020, all 15 seasons of Supernatural are finally available on demand in Australia. Find out how to access every season right here in this guide.
What’s in this Guide?
Supernatural plot
After Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a demonic supernatural force, their father begins living the life of a hunter, battling supernatural threats and every vengeful spirit that thrive in the dark corners. As their father raised them, they grow up to be hunters as well.
When their father disappears, the brothers search for him and become convinced that the ‘yellow-eyed’ demon, the one responsible for their mother’s death, is close. Sam, who initially wants a normal life, joins his brother after his girlfriend, Jess, dies the same way as their mother did.
This storyline concluded after five seasons, but the Supernatural universe further expanded with 10 more seasons. In the latter instalments, Supernatural tackled heaven, purgatory, and hell, introducing characters that range from demons, angels, monsters, spirits, humans and everything in between. Ultimately, Supernatural became the longest live-action fantasy show as the Winchester brothers crisscross the country in their iconic ’67 Chevy Impala.
More than hunting monsters and other supernatural creatures in every hell house they could find, Supernatural also charms viewers with its sense of family, especially with the relationship of the Winchester brothers, which goes from amusing to hilarious to heartwarming at any time.
