Gossip Girl reboot Season 2 preview
Following New York private school teens attending Constance Billard, the original series of Gossip Girl came out of nowhere to become a surprise hit. Based in New York’s privileged Upper East Side, the impact of the show and that of Serena van Der Woodsen affected a wide audience.
The brand new reboot of Gossip Girl, which first streamed last July 2021, pushed the envelope even further. Set nearly a decade after the omnipresent blogger’s website went dark, the new Gossip Girl presents new characters from the Upper East Side of New York City and their scandalous lives. The millennial clique must now survive the social scrutiny that the earlier generation had experienced.
In Gossip Girl Season 2, which is scheduled to premiere in Australia in December, the lives of our favourite characters – Julien, Zoya, Luna, Monet, Audrey, Aki, Max, and Obie – are still under scrutiny. The new Gossip Girl is onto them, after all. There’s also the revelation that Gossip Girl may have struck a deal with it-girl Julien Calloway. What happens after that? Something scandalous that’s for sure.
Even more exciting for original Gossip Girl fans – Georgina Sparks returns for Season 2 of the Gossip Girl reboot, as revealed by showrunner Joshua Safran. Georgina is that one villain we all love to hate, and so her arrival in the new season will definitely spice things up in the Upper East Side.
