Twisters, a new exhilarating movie about tornadoes and the people who chase them, debuts in Australian cinemas this week.
Twister, which starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, is an iconic disaster film that premiered nearly 30 years ago. Despite the movie’s incredible commercial success, no sequels were made afterwards – that is until 2024’s Twisters, a standalone sequel starring Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones.

Where is Twisters streaming in Australia?
With Warner Bros. distributing in Australia, we can expect Twisters to arrive on BINGE, Foxtel Now, and Foxtel for streaming on demand, following in the footsteps of other Warner Bros. movies like Barbie, Blue Beetle, The Nun II, and others.
However, considering the surprising deal between Warner Bros. and Netflix, it’s also possible for Twisters to be streaming on Netflix at some point after finishing its run on BINGE and Foxtel.
It is, however, worth noting that most new films are released digitally via pay per view (e.g., Apple TV, Google Play, Fetch, Prime Video Store, and Microsoft) before arriving on subscription streaming.
Where to watch the original Twister movie?
If you’re craving for some classic disaster flicks, Twister is a must-see. Fortunately, you can instantly stream the first film on BINGE, Foxtel Now, Paramount+, and Prime Video.
All streaming services mentioned also offer free trials.

Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is a former storm chaser with a traumatic tornado encounter in her college years. In the present, she studies storm patterns in an office in New York City, having vowed to leave the storm chasing life.
The arrival of a new tracking system, however, brings the reluctant Kate to the open plains with her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos). There, she instantly crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), a social media celebrity whose fame came from his storm-chasing adventures.
Kate and Tyler are clearly opposing forces with the former disapproving of Tyler and his team’s reckless ways of chasing tornadoes. But with multiple systems coming together to deliver a deadly blow, the ex-storm chaser and the social media superstar must join forces to survive their most frightening, chaotic storm season ever.
Twisters (2024) is directed by Lee Isaac Chung from a screenplay written by Mark L. Smith. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley serve as producers.
