What is Thank You, Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story about?
Hulu’s set to remind the world the magnitude of Bon Jovi’s success and influence with their new musical documentary featuring the iconic band.
Showcasing four decades worth of personal videos, early demos that were never released, original lyrics, and never-before-seen photographs, Thank You, Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story is a goldmine of nostalgia and good times for both new and long-time fans.
More than covering the band’s prolific career spanning forty years, the documentary will also tackle challenges that hit the group hard, including former guitarist Richie Sambora’s abrupt departure during the band’s Because We Can tour in 2013.
“I don’t regret leaving,” says Sambora, who also joins the documentary. “I regret how I did it.”
The series also shares intimate details of Jon Bon Jovi’s vocal issues. The 62-year-old singer underwent a surgery in 2022 to fix a vocal cord injury.
For someone whose professional legacy is built on his voice and music, finding out there’s something wrong with his vocal chords came as a paralysing scare for the Bon Jovi frontman.
The upcoming Bon Jovi docuseries, which starts streaming on 26 April, is directed and executive produced by Gotham Chopra.
