New FOX series Rescue HI-Surf makes its Australian premiere this October. 

From executive producer and director John Wells (Shameless, Maid, Animal Kingdom) comes a new action-packed drama following the lives of lifeguards who protect the North Shore of O’ahu in Hawaii. Monitoring the dangerous Hawaiian waters, this group of men and women put their lives on the line to save others — and that’s just the beginning as this new lifeguard drama has more to unpack.

Rescue HI-Surf release date Australia

The Hawaii-set drama premieres Tuesday, 22 October on BINGE. Foxtel customers can watch the first episode on the same day at 8:30pm, then on demand on Foxtel Now. BINGE and Foxtel Now still offer their respective free trial offers, 7 days for BINGE and 10 days for the latter.

It premiered earlier last September in the US. We’ve yet to know the show’s total number of episodes.

How to sign up for BINGE?

Every episode of the new lifeguard drama, Rescue HI-Surf, has been confirmed to stream on BINGE in Australia. To begin, you’ll need a subscription in order to access BINGE full catalogue of shows and movies. 

There are three plans available when signing up, available on a monthly basis. First is the Basic (with ads) plan, streaming in HD on one screen at only $10 monthly. Next is the Standard plan, which allows streaming movies and shows on up to two screens in HD or 4K on selected content for $18/month. 

If you want to elevate your streaming experience with 4K and four concurrent streams, you’ll need to upgrade your subscription to Premium at $22/month. BINGE still offers a 7-day free trial for new customers.

After entering your email address and password, you’ll need to select a subscription type, and submit your payment information. New customers also get a free trial to help you decide if you want to keep your BINGE subscription

How to sign up for Foxtel or Foxtel Now?

Another option to watch Rescue HI-Surf episodes is Foxtel, which is launching the new series on Foxtel One. Fortunately, the base Foxtel Plus bundle already includes the channel.

To get started, choose a Foxtel entertainment plan you want to sign up for. The cheapest package is Foxtel Plus, which includes over 50 channels of drama, lifestyle, news, kids TV, music channels, and more. It even includes the Multiscreen feature to watch Foxtel on another screen via smart TV app or casting.

What is Rescue HI-Surf about?

In FOX’s brand new action-drama series, a group of lifeguards navigate the tricky waters of O’ahu’s North Shore in Hawaii, ensuring every guest who hits the beach is safe. But being the most dangerous stretch of coastline, it comes with life-threatening conditions that take tourists and locals alike by surprise. 

Enter one of the most competent rescue teams in the world, equipped with intense training, strength, and grit to take on the responsibilities of saving lives. Together, they patrol the beach and attempt to combat impossible odds of Hawaii’s Seven Mile Miracle.

Rescue HI-Surf features Australian actor Adam Demos (Sex / Life, UnReal) and New Zealand actor Robbie Magasiva (Wentworth, Bad Behaviour). The new series is created by Matt Kester, who also serves as executive producer alongside Daniele Nathanson, Erin Jontow, and John Wells.
