Moana’s adventures are far from over. In this anticipated sequel that was initially developed as a series, Moana reunites with Maui, her demigod friend, to fulfill a mission that will bring her people together again.

What is the plot of Moana 2?
Set three years after the events of the first film, Moana (Auliʻi Cravalho) embarks on another adventure after she receives a message from her wayfinding ancestors. Armed with a new mission, she reunites with Maui (Dwayne Johnson) and forms her own crew.
Sailing the far seas of Oceania, she intends to connect the people of the ocean once again by breaking an ancient curse. In doing so, they awaken the wrath of an old enemy Kakamora, as well as confront a new foe in Matangi, an underworld goddess.
The cast of Moana 2 includes Auliʻi Cravalho as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui, Temuera Morrison as Tui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda as Simea, Rose Matafeo as Loto, David Fane as Kele, Hualālai Chung as Moni, Rachel House as Tala, Awhimai Fraser as Matangi, Gerald Ramsey as Tautai Vasa, and Alan Tudyk as Heihei.
It is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller from a screenplay written by Miller and Jared Bush. Christina Chen and Yvett Merino serve as producers.
