What is the movie Men Up about?
Before Viagra became the drug that it is today, it had to undergo clinical trials. Swansea’s Morriston Hospital became the place for such clinical research in 1994. Men Up tells the true story of five middle-aged Welsh men who embark on an unexpected journey when they participate in the trial.
For the most part, the film explores how this revolutionary pill affects their lives, as their involvement with the new drug inadvertently changes the relationship dynamics with their respective partners. Nonetheless, a promising blue pill needs testing and these men are ready to take on the job.
The new drama is written by Matthew Barry, best known for his works in Industry and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and directed by Ashley Way.
