Late Night with the Devil is a supernatural horror about a late night TV host, who, wanting to boost ratings, agrees to feature a possessed girl to communicate with the devil on Halloween night.

Whilst successful in the beginning, this accomplishment  becomes short-lived as the devil they have decided to unleash destroys everyone in the most nightmarish of ways.

Enjoying critical and commercial success despite its modest budget, the film finally hits Australian theatres next week. Here’s what you need to know about this new horror offering from Aussie brothers and filmmakers Colin and Cameron Cairnes.

What is the plot of Late Night with the Devil?

Jack Delroy is the host of the successful late night talk show Night Owls with Jack Delroy. That all changed when his wife Madeleine got sick and passed away, halting the production of the show for a while. While he manages to return, his program has already declined in popularity.

Finding it hard to recapture the show’s former glory, Jack decides to do an occult-themed episode on Halloween night. He invites a psychic, a skeptical former magician,  a parapsychologist, and a girl allegedly possessed by a demon – all in his desperate attempt to boost his show’s ratings.

But the dirty trick that was supposed to help him reclaim his fame turns everyone and everything into a gore feast he didn’t see coming.

Written and directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes, the horror film is presented as a found footage film with a documentary prologue, heightening elements of fright and suspense.

Experience it all firsthand with the movie hitting Australian theatres from 11 April!
