Junior Taskmaster premise
The original Taskmaster follows five comedians completing a series of challenges. The titular Taskmaster judges every performance and gives out scores while his assistant acts as umpire in each challenge.
Junior Taskmaster won’t be following the original show’s entire premise. For starters, the new series features 25 contestants between 9 and 11 and they won’t all be competing across the entire show. Instead, a group of five children will compete in five heats and two semi-finals.
The top five players will be chosen from these levels and will be the ones to play in the grand final. Every task at hand will test the kids’ creativity, aptitude, and their knack for athletics, showing us the unrivalled energy and sheer brilliance of the youth.
Junior Taskmaster is Taskmaster’s new spin-off from Channel 4 with the original series created by Alex Horne. An Australian version is also available on Channel 10 and 10Play.
