What is Hysteria! about?

When a varsity quarterback mysteriously disappears during the Satanic panic of the ‘80s, a struggling heavy metal band composed of teenagers see it as an opportunity to rebrand their band.

Their transformation into a Satanic metal group, however, seems to coincide with more murders, abductions, and supernatural activities, making themselves the target of a local witch hunt.

Hysteria! was created by Matthew Scott Kane, who also serves as the showrunner with David A. Goodman. Directing and executive producing the show were Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.
