Karin Slaughter’s “Will Trent” book series has been adapted for streaming with Ramón Rodríguez (Iron Fist) playing Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Special Agent Will Trent.
Despite experiencing a harsh coming of age after being abandoned as a child, Trent grew up to be brilliant and competent with remarkable observation skills, making him the best in the force.
However, his idiosyncrasies and lack of sociability usually puts him at odds with his colleagues. This, however, doesn’t stop him from resolving every murder investigation that comes his way.

What is the plot of the Will Trent series?
Based on the New York Times bestselling “Will Trent” series, the television adaptation follows the titular character as he embarks on a riveting journey of criminal investigations and shocking twists.
As a GBI agent with the highest case clearance rate, he has an excellent eye for observational detail, allowing him to see an underlying narrative in every case. More often than not, this earns the ire of his peers, although there’s no denying he really is the most efficient Special Agent.
Having endured Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system, his harsh experiences as a kid are one of his personal motivations to excel as an adult. Now that he’s built a good life for himself and earned a position to make a difference, he uses his unique point of view to help those who are abandoned like he was.
In Will Trent Season 2, it’s business as usual for Georgia’s grumpy yet brilliant detective. With his unique perception and observation skills that are always on point, Georgia’s bizarre cases only prove that even the most puzzling of circumstances can be resolved with the right detective to unravel its complexities.

In the latest Will Trent Season 3, Angie (Erika Christensen) is back on the job after she was arrested in Will Trent Season 2. Considering it was Will who did the arrest, it’s only natural for these two to be in an awkward phase once the show returns for a new season.
Following the arrest, Will disappeared and hid in Tennessee, only returning to Atlanta six months later. Upon his return, Will is back to solving cases, starting with the investigation into wounded off-duty cops.
The cast of Will Trent is headlined by Ramón Rodríguez playing the titular character, Erika Christensen as Angela Polaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood, and Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner. Jane the Virgin‘s Gina Rodriguez also joins Season 3’s cast as Assistant District Attorney Marion Alba, while Felicity‘s Scott Foley will play Angie’s new love interest, Dr. Seth McDale.
