Gordon Liddy. Portrayed by Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux, respectively, the upcoming miniseries chronicles crucial events leading to Hunt and Liddy inadvertently toppling the presidency they were resolved to protect.

White House Plumbers TV series preview
The Watergate scandal in the 1970s led to the resignation of Richard Nixon, the only president to resign from office. More than creating chaos in the government, the scandal also changed American politics forever. Central figures in this political scheming and abuse of power are Watergate masterminds E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, their involvement being the subject in the new miniseries, White House Plumbers.
The White House Plumbers were originally a covert White House Special Investigations Unit tasked to stop the leaking of classified information; hence, the “plumbers” moniker. Further operations with the managers of Committee to Re-elect the President (CRP) eventually led to the history-changing Watergate burglary, which, not only ended its entire operations, but also the country’s reigning presidency.
Partly based on public records and the book Integrity by Egil Krogh and Matthew Krogh, White House Plumbers is directed by Veep showrunner David Mandel and created, written, and executive-produced by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck. Mandel, Woody Harrelson, and Justin Theroux also executive produce, alongside other executive producers Paul Lee, Mark Roybal, Frank Rich, Nne Ebong, and David Bernad.
