Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder preview
With all the battles he has fought on Earth and in other dimensions, even the God of Thunder will yearn for something else, preferably inner peace. And so, he embarks on a journey unlike anything he’s ever experienced to achieve exactly that. Choosing to live the life he wants for himself, he gave up rule over New Asgard to Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and joined the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Nonetheless, he remains fiercely loyal and protective of his home world. After he learns that a galactic killer known as Gorr seeks to eliminate all gods, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who now wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, to Thor’s surprise. And Jane is not only his former flame slash first love Jane, she’s since become the Mighty Thor.
After Thor gets over his shock of seeing his ex-girlfriend after eight years dressed like, well, like Thor, they then embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure as they save Asgardians from Gorr’s wrath, and also unveil the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance.
Thor: Love and Thunder is the sequel to Thor: Ragnarok and the 29th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Taika Waititi, who also co-wrote the script with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, took the helm as the film’s director once again.
