The Challenge: USA preview
Last year, US network CBS released its spin-off of The Challenge, a long-running MTV series that’s been running since 1998. Titled The Challenge USA, it premiered on television last July and featured contestants from some of the biggest reality programs.
Unlike the original series, CBS’ version has what they call “The Algorithm”, which randomly pairs contestants in every challenge. Interestingly, players will never have the same partner, until no more new pairs can be made.
Together, they compete in extreme physical contests, experiment strategies, avoid every elimination round, and forge alliances to win power and survive daily challenges, all the while being entangled in their own personal dramas as the pressure of the competition takes its toll on the players.
Ultimately, the winners of the final challenge win and will go on to participate in The Challenge: World Championship. Contestants in the global championship are winners and MVPs from international seasons, which include The Challenge: Australia, The Challenge: Argentina, and The Challenge: UK.
An incredible spectacle for fans of reality television, cast members from the original show are also set to appear in The Challenge: World Championship as a “Challenge legend”. The Challenge host TJ Lavin is set to co-host the championship series alongside global hosts Brihony Dawson (Australia), Mark Wright (UK) and Alejandro “Marley” Wiebe (Argentina).
With The Challenge: Australia just wrapping up last December, it’s time to check out what The Challenge: USA has to offer as it drops on streaming today!
