The Challenge Argentina: El Desafío preview
In this new series, The Challenge Argentina, an Argentine spin off of the popular American reality competition series, 18 Argentinian celebrities compete against each other in various challenges to avoid elimination. Featuring a unique pairing system, each contestant won’t have the same partner at each challenge, as determined by The Algorithm.
The challenges will be tough, and the stakes will be high as players compete with a partner of the opposite sex. The challenges test the contestant’s focus, precision, and teamwork. In one intense challenge, teams race down an 800-meter path to reach a pattern covered by blinds.
One teammate must balance on a narrow pole with one foot while the other teammate opens the blinds to reveal the pattern. Once the balancing teammate falls off the pole, the team must return to the starting board and try to recreate the pattern they just saw. They must repeat this process until they have accurately recreated the entire pattern.
After each challenge, the winners will be safe from elimination and gain the power to select a second team to compete in the elimination against the last-place team. The last-place contestants will automatically be sent into elimination, where they’ll have to battle it out to stay in the game.
But it’s not just about physical prowess – alliances will be formed and broken as the contestants try to deal with the social dynamics of the game. The last-place team from the daily challenge will compete in an elimination round against the team selected by the winners of the daily challenge. The winners will remain in the game, while the losers will be eliminated.
Adding an interesting twist to the game, The Challenge Argentina features a unique re-entry system. Instead of choosing between existing contestants, winners of the daily challenge are required to choose one male and one female player who was previously eliminated from the six most recently eliminated contestants. These players then compete in the Arena against the last-place team from the challenge. The victorious duo will earn their way back into the game while the defeated team will be eliminated for good.
The final eight contestants will compete in the initial phase of the Final Challenge where they compete in four distinct timed stages. These stages are completed in pairs of one male and one female, with The Algorithm randomly pairing participants for each stage. After completing the fourth and final stage, the two individuals with the slowest overall times will be eliminated, leaving only the strongest competitors to advance to the next phase of the challenge.
As the Final Challenge progresses into its second part, the six remaining contestants will compete in three consecutive stages, each working individually to complete the tasks at hand. Once the third and final stage is completed, the total time of each contestant throughout the entire Final Challenge is calculated to determine the winner of The Challenge Argentina. The victor will not only claim the title but also receive a grand prize of ARG$15,000,000.
