Apple TV+’s hit sports comedy Ted Lasso is returning for a brand new third season this year. It’s just as well, considering the show’s tremendous success that has since earned 20 Emmy nominations when it first launched, a feat that no comedy series has accomplished before, not during the first season.
Ted Lasso follows the titular character, an American football coach from Kansas who was hired to coach a professional soccer team in England – the AFC Richmond – despite his zero experience coaching soccer. While there’s a hidden agenda to his bizarre employment, Lasso ends up succeeding even though everyone thought he was going to fail. With Season 3 launching this year, find out how to watch new episodes here.

Ted Lasso Season 3 preview
The first season heavily focused on Ted Lasso and his attempts and efforts to adapt to British culture and learn the ins and the outs of a sport he knew nothing about. The second season, meanwhile, took the time to explore other characters, providing other major players in the show a well-executed character development.
The most surprising development of all had to be Nate Shelley’s abrupt change of character, from being a clumsy yet easily likable assistant to becoming a full-on adversary, having accepted a coaching job with West Ham, which had just been acquired by Rebecca Walton’s ex-husband.
Ted Lasso Season 3 will most likely tackle this tension and rivalry between Lasso and Shelley, as well as their respective teams. Of course, Nate defecting to the opposing team will have to affect Lasso and the Richmond squad both personally and professionally. Find out more about Season 3 below.
