An orphaned young boy grows up to be a proficient and lethal martial arts fighter, vowing revenge after his father’s murder. Searching for his father’s killer, he uses the name ‘Snake Eyes’ to conceal his identity. When he comes across Yakuza boss Kenta Takamura, he finally finds the opportunity to seek vengeance but it comes with a price – he must kill a man to prove his loyalty.

When he chooses mercy and decides to help the man escape, who turns out to be the heir apparent of an ancient japanese clan called the Arashikage, the tenacious loner Snake Eyes is welcomed into the clan. There, he trains and learns the ways of the ultimate ninja warrior.

However, Snake Eyes is still consumed with hatred and his yearning for revenge, something that the villainous Kenta Takamura, who aligns himself with the terrorist group Cobra, continues to exploit for his own gain. Torn between his loyalty to the clan and his desire for justice regardless of how he attains it, Snake Eyes honor his father by making an impossible decision. With this narrative, the action packed adventure reveals to be also about morality of choice.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is directed by Robert Schwentke from a screenplay by Evan Spiliotopoulos, Joe Shrapnel, and Anna Waterhouse. It is based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe characters with Henry Golding playing the lead. He is joined by Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó and Samara Weaving as the movie’s main cast.
