A live-action reimagining of Peter Pan’s adventures with Wendy Darling is hitting streaming TV in April with Disney’s upcoming fantasy film, Peter Pan & Wendy. A fresh adaptation of the beloved classic tale, which we first saw in 1953’s animated film Peter Pan, the new movie will showcase a grand adventure and a magical journey featuring our favourite characters as they set sail for Neverland.
Starring Alexander Molony in his feature film debut as Peter Pan, Ever Anderson (Black Widow) as Wendy Darling, and Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore) as Captain Hook, find out more about this magical world that Disney Plus is bringing to life on the screen right here.

Peter Pan & Wendy preview
Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave home and attend boarding school, meets Peter Pan, a young boy who wants to remain one forever. To escape the imminent changes in her life, she travels to the fantastical world of Neverland with Peter Pan, the tiny fairy Tinker Bell, and her brothers John and Michael Darling.
There, she meets The Lost Boys, who now include girls, and the evil pirate Captain Hook. The villain’s endless scheming results in Wendy embarking on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever, and maybe even teach her a thing or two about courage, growing up, and embracing new adventures.
Directed by David Lowery (The Green Knight, Pete’s Dragon), the film is also based on J. M. Barrie’s play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up. Development for this new live-action adaptation began in 2016 with the creative team significantly expanding production time to rework the script.
Director David Lowery and his retelling of the classic story is just the latest adaptation to soon grace our screens. Other Peter Pan adaptations include Steven Spielberg’s Hook in 1991, Universal’s Peter Pan in 2003 and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Pan in 2015.
