When a scheming landlord threatens a cat village, an unlikely hero emerges from oblivion, promising to save all the cats and their homes. The only problem is, the unlikely rescuer is a dog. And, in a town where all residents hate dogs, it’s going to be tough convincing every feline that he’s got what it takes to defend everyone from a ruthless villain’s evil plot.
Featuring the voice performances of Michael Cera, Ricky Gervais, Mel Brooks, Michelle Yeoh and Samuel L. Jackson, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank drops on streaming next month.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank preview
An unlucky prisoner hound who’s also about to be executed finds himself in a village inhabited by cats. After going through an attack masterminded by a conniving top official, the cats call for a samurai to protect them from further harm. But instead of getting their very own saviour, they get Hank, a dog prisoner with seemingly no chance of doing the job right, all the while being unaware that he’s not doing his job right.
With the entirety of the cat population hating dogs, Hank must work twice as hard to earn their trust. More importantly, he also needs to train and become a fearsome samurai to help protect the town from its impending doom. Teaming up with a reluctant trainer, Hanks gears up to take on his biggest role yet, even though the ones he’s sworn to protect truly hates his guts.
The animated movie (originally conceived as Blazing Samurai) is directed by Rob Minkoff, Mark Koetsier, and Chris Bailey and is partly inspired by the live-action film Blazing Saddles released in 1974.
