Paper Girls TV show preview

The series is set in the early morning hours after 1988 Halloween night. While out delivering papers, four 12-year-old girls – Erin, Mac, Tiff, and KJ – time travelled from 1988 and transported to the year 2019.

Arriving in the future, the four paper girls are caught in the crossfire between two battling parties of time-travellers. In order to survive, the girls must seek help from their older selves to find a way back home and escape from their would-be abductors.

As they travel between the present, the past, and the future — they encounter future versions of themselves. Meeting their future counterparts face-to-face, they can only embrace or reject their destiny.

In meeting their future selves they see how their childhood hopes, dreams, and ambitions flourish, so that each girl discovers her own strengths as they try to find a way back home, in their real own lives, while saving the world.

Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, gained an exclusive deal with Amazon Studios into adapting the comic book into a series. The Paper Girls series has Brian K. Vaughan, Cliff Chiang, Christopher Cantwell, and Christopher C. Rogers as its executive producers.
