What is the plot of NCIS: Sydney?
Rising global conflicts in the Indo-Pacific have the NCIS agents from the U.S. joining forces with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) to form a multi-national taskforce that will keep nautical crimes at bay. Those crimes they can’t prevent they will need to confront head on.
Leading the team is NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey, played by Olivia Swann (DC Legends of Tomorrow). Joining her is former Home And Away star Todd Lasance, who’s playing Olivia’s AFP counterpart, Sergeant Jim Dempsey.
In NCIS Sydney Season 2, the team is headed for a more dangerous mission as they face a powerful adversary. The investigation into Richard Rankin (Lewis Fitz-Gerald), meanwhile, poses a larger conflict that’s likely to wreak havoc in the region.
Starting strong when it debuted in November 2023, NCIS Sydney will continue to offer nonstop action with bigger cases to solve and louder explosions to survive from.

In addition to Swann and Lasance, the cast of NCIS Sydney also include Sean Sagar (Mea Culpa) as NCIS Special Agent, DeShawn Jackson; Tuuli Narkle (Bad Behaviour) as AFP Liaison Officer, Constable Evie Cooper; Mavournee Hazel (Halifax: Retribution) as AFP Forensic Scientist, Bluebird ‘Blue’ Gleeson and William McInnes (Total Control) as AFP Forensic Pathologist, Dr Roy Penrose.
NCIS and its spin-offs have been consistent in delivering high-stakes action and drama for over two decades. Long-time fans of the franchise can expect the same thrill with NCIS Sydney.
The series is created by Morgan O’Neill and produced by Endemol Shine Australia, one of the best production companies in the country.
