As a result of a three-year investigation, journalist and filmmaker David Farrier brings us Mister Organ, a documentary film focusing on the life of a mystery man creating havoc in Ponsonby, Auckland. The man is Michael Organ, an enigmatic figure and the subject of his investigation. Organ is associated with an antiques store and a car clamping business notorious for its ruthless policy.
After a TV exposé aired in 2016 covering the shop’s aggressive actions, Farrier decided to dig deeper. The result is a disturbing backstory and a game of cat and mouse with Organ himself.

Mister Organ documentary preview
Filmmaker David Farrier (Tickled, Dark Tourist) unwittingly stumbles into an investigation that later becomes mired in psychological warfare from the man being investigated himself. It all started when Farrier probes deep into a local antique store known for aggressively wheel clamping cars, which then leads him to Michael Organ.
Delving deeper to learn more about his life, Farrier uncovers multiple court cases, inflated claims of royal bloodlines, ruined lives, and even a stolen boat in this tension-filled film covering three years of shocking revelations. In the process, Farrier becomes trapped in a game of deception that Organ devised himself.
