A new animated series is slated to premiere on TV with Koala Man. The creative minds behind Rick and Morty and Pokemon: Detective Pikachu are leading the show as executive producers. Following Kevin, a divorced dad stuck in a dull job, who also gets to channel his inner superhero at night by donning a koala mask.
His mission? To eliminate petty crimes and rid the streets of loiterers, litterers, and shady local kids hanging out at the park. With his passion and resolve to bring order in the community, no petty crime doer can go unpunished, not on Koala Man’s watch. That is if he doesn’t screw things up, because just a heads-up: he’s not very good at doing the superhero thing. Now available on streaming TV, find out how to watch episodes here.
What’s in this Guide?
Koala Man Season 1 preview
Middle-aged dad Kevin and his not so secret identity as the titular hero is not your typical superhero. He may not be even a real one since he has no superhero skills or powers. What he has is even better (maybe): In the Australian suburban town of Dapto, Kevin is the only one with a burning passion to snuff out petty crime, making him its ultimate hero. That means no loitering, no littering, and no unruly citizens, or else – justice.
The new adult comedy series hails from Australian creator and animator Michael Cusack, who also voices family father slash Koala Man, Kevin. Bolstering the cast is Hugh Jackman, who joins the show as the voice of Big Greg, while Hugo Weaving and Miranda Otto are set to make guest appearances.
