Junior Bake Off Season 7 preview
The best young cooks in Britain are showcasing their talents in Junior Bake Off Season 7. This spin-off of Great British Bake Off features young bakers aged 9-15 as they tackle a series of challenges that involve all the good things – cakes, biscuits, bread, and pastries. As part of their tasks, they’re given recipes in each episode, which they need to bake beautifully. The junior bakers also need to use their own original recipes to impress judges and viewers alike.
Starting the competition, the bakers are divided into two groups of 8, with four eliminated from each group over five days of competition. The remaining four bakers from each group are combined in the week-long finals, culminating in a “super-difficult showdown” episode that determines the winner.
The title of every episode determines the challenge that the young bakers need to accomplish. In episode 1, they have to bake a cake on Cake Day, then bread on Episode 3’s Bread Day, create fashion-conscious outfits in biscuit form in Episode 7’s Wearable Biscuits and so on. In the semi-finals, the kids are tasked with two exciting baking challenges where their sponge-baking and jelly-making skills are put to the test.
Presented by comedian Harry Hill with Prue Leith and Liam Charles as judges, Junior Bake Off Season 7 is just as delightful and cute as any other Junior Bake Off instalment.
