Harlan Coben’s Shelter TV series preview
A family tragedy forces Mickey (Jaden Michael) to start a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey, where he also attends a new school and meets fellow new student, Ashley (Samantha Bugliaro). He also becomes friends with Arthur “Spoon” Spindell (Adrian Greemsmith) and Ema Winslow (Abby Corrigan).
He and Ashley get along so well, bonding over their shared grief and worries. When she disappears without a trace, he becomes obsessed with finding answers.
The mystery only deepens when she counters an old woman known to the town as “Bat Lady”, who then tells him that his father is still alive. Mickey knows this to be impossible as he has witnessed his father’s death in a car crash. With the help of Spoon and Ema, he discovers long-buried secrets and lies unearthing his own complex family history. Even more dangerous, Mickey’s search thrusts him into a dark web of conspiracy that puts his life and that of his friends in danger.
Executive produced by Harlan Coben himself alongside 13 Reasons Why producer Allen MacDonald, they are joined by executive producers Edward Ornelas and Erick Barmack. Coben’s daughter, Charlotte Coben, serves as producer. The upcoming thriller series marks Harlan Coben’s first collaboration with Prime Video.
