After the release of the spy comedy Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre earlier this year, Guy Ritchie has his second feature film offering in 2023 with the action thriller Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) and Dar Salim (Go With Peace, Jamil), it tells the story of two men bonded by their code of honour despite being trapped in the chaos of war.
In Australia, Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant hits streaming TV in June. Find out how to watch online right here.

Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant preview
The Covenant (2023) follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim). After a lethal ambush by the Taliban forces, Ahmed endures great peril in order to save Kinley’s life and ensure his return home. While Kinley does return back home, Ahmed is left behind.
Back in the US, Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family are still in Afghanistan, their lives in bigger danger as the Taliban swears revenge. With the US government unable to give them safe passage as promised, Kinley decides to return to the very war zone that nearly ended his life to save Ahmed and his family himself.
The Covenant is written, directed, and produced by Guy Ritchie alongside co-writers Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies and co-producers John Friedberg, Josh Berger, and Atkinson.
In addition to Gyllenhaal and Salim, the film features a dynamic cast including Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary), Alexander Ludwig (Vikings), and Antony Starr (The Boys).
