Filled with hope and optimism as she looks forward to her newfound freedom and fresh chapter in her life, she soon discovers that things don’t always go smooth-sailing in the real world, especially now that she’s left the nest. Grown-ish Season 5 preview
The first four seasons of Grown-ish revolve around Zoey and her college life while attending the fictional California University of Liberal Arts. Following Zoey’s graduation during the fourth season finale, Junior replaces Zoey as the lead character and narrator of the show, also attending Cal U in the fifth season.
Zoey, of course, remains a main character in the series, albeit with less presence given that she’s in New York trying to run a business. As for Junior, he seems to be on the right track: he’s proactive about his goals, he has made new friends, and with the guidance of his big sister, it might be less messy for him. For now.
