The DC Universe further expands with Gotham Knights, a new superhero series set to premiere next month. It follows a much grimmer Gotham City after Batman is killed, leaving the already scarred city unprotected. Taking on the paramount duty that the Dark Knight had started is Bruce Wayne’s adopted son Turner Hayes. With Gotham becoming a powder keg since Batman’s death, Hayes must forge an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies to solve his father’s murder and protect Gotham at all costs.

Gotham Knights TV series preview
As if it doesn’t get any worse for Gotham City, Bruce Wayne is murdered and his adopted son Turner is framed. The children of Batman’s enemies, including Joker’s daughter, are also suspected of the crime. With District Attorney Harvey Dent and the police hot on their trail, they must work together to catch the real killer.
In the process, they ultimately discover the strength and courage to save Gotham from being ravaged by the criminal underworld. From being just a bunch of regular youngsters, they unexpectedly become the city’s next generation of heroes known as the Gotham Knights.
The TV series will star newcomers Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Anna Lore as Turner’s best friend Stephanie Brown, Navia Robinson as his unlikely sidekick Carrie Kelley / Robin, and Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Doe, the daughter Joker abandoned in Arkham Asylum.
However, it’s worth noting that Bruce Wayne’s biological son Damian Wayne won’t be part of the series. Supernatural’s Misha Collins also joins the main cast as Harvey Dent.
For more than a decade, The CW has been the home of some DC universe-centred shows that began with Arrow, followed by The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. There’s also Superman & Lois, although Warner Bros and its creator decided to keep the series separate from Arrowverse.
But the US network is not done with DC, not when the Gotham Knights TV series (not to be confused with the video game of the same name) hits streaming TV in March.
