From the writer of Contagion comes Apple TV+’s highly anticipated anthology series Extrapolations. Set in the near future, people’s lives have been radically changed by the effects of climate change. The world’s horrifying new face is further explored in eight interconnected episodes starring some of the biggest names in this never-before-seen ensemble, proving Apple’s capacity for lavish TV productions. This includes Meryl Streep, Kit Harington, Forest Whitaker, Matthew Rhys, Sienna Miller, Edward Norton, Marion Cotillard, and many more.

Extrapolations TV series preview
Featuring eight interwoven stories, Extrapolations delves into the destructive impact of climate change through various characters, their everyday lives, and their life altering choices. As the chaotic effects of our own undoing ravage the planet, it will also deeply affect love, faith, and family on a personal and human scale, changing the landscape of humanity as we know it.
Writer, director and executive producer Scott Z. Burns (Contagion, An Inconvenient Truth) wrote the first two episodes with Rajiv Joseph and Bess Wohl also credited as writers for subsequent episodes.
Extrapolations is also produced by Michael Ellenberg’s Media Res, the production company behind other Apple TV+ originals The Morning Show and Pachinko.
Extrapolations TV series release date
Apple TV+’s new series will premiere on Friday, 17th March 2023 with the first three episodes dropping on the service. The remaining five episodes are scheduled to drop on streaming TV weekly.
