A new police drama is scheduled to premiere in Australia soon with the East New York TV show. Created by Emmy winner William Finkelstein (Law & Order) and Mike Flynn, East New York is a new addition to CBS’ excellent roster of crime dramas with the likes of Blue Bloods, NCIS, and S.W.A.T. proving to be global hits.

Headlining the new series is Amanda Warren (The Leftovers, Dickinson), playing newly promoted Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood. As she aims to make radical changes in the precinct, she becomes resolved to deploy creative methods, which don’t always sit well with others.

East New York premieres on CBS in the US and Foxtel in Australia. Ahead of the series debut, find out how and when you can watch episodes of the new show using this guide.

What’s in this Guide?

East New York TV show premiere

East New York follows the officers and detectives of the 74th precinct in East New York, Brooklyn. Keeping the streets of East New York safe in the midst of social chaos, they are led by Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood, the precinct’s newly promoted commanding officer.

While Haywood is determined to protect her beloved community at all costs, not everyone is on board with her sometimes unconventional strategies. As some members of the team question her leadership, it becomes imperative for her to gain their trust if they’re to depend on each other and even face crises together.

Her team consists of some of the best in the police force: veteran two-star Chief John Suarez, highly respected training officer Marvin Sandeford, who also knows his way around the neighbourhood, detectives Tommy Killian and Crystal Morales, patrol officer Brandy Quinlan, and the precinct’s trainee Andre Bentley. Haywood also relies on her efficient right hand, Capt. Stan Yenko.

From the executive producers of NYPD Blue, East New York stars Amanda Warren as a reform-minded deputy inspector taking over the local precinct with one mission in mind: make the 74th precinct and its diverse group of officers be part of the community they’re tasked to protect.
