Disenchanted movie preview
What happens after the much yearned happily ever after? For Giselle and Robert, that’s moving to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville with the hopes of living a more fairy tale life. However, the idyllic suburbia is run by local queen bee, Malvina Monroe, who has a penchant for making Giselle feel unwelcome. Encountering other challenges, a frustrated Giselle ends up using a spell to wish that their lives were the perfect fairy tale. After all, she expects her happily ever after to be free from setbacks and disappointments.
But using the magic of Andalasia to solve her woes backfires, accidentally transforming the entire town into a real life fairy tale. From there, everything goes out of control, jeopardising her family’s happiness and putting her homeland of Andalasia in danger. So in true Disney fashion, she must reverse the spell to put everything back in order and save her homeland exactly before midnight.
After its official announcement in December 2020, the anticipation for the upcoming film continues to build, especially now that the premiere is just around the corner. Recapturing the magic of the first movie, the long-awaited sequel will also showcase a killer soundtrack with seven songs already confirmed. It’s also worth noting that Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz return as the sequel’s songwriters.
