After its successful theatrical run, the latest Creed instalment will finally premiere on streaming TV in June. But while every Creed movie has been impressive both critically and commercially, what makes Creed III unique is that this time, lead star Michael B. Jordan directs the film himself in his directorial debut. Ahead of its premiere on your streaming screens, here’s everything to know about the new Creed 3 movie.

Creed 3 preview
In Creed III, Adonis Creed finally retires and puts the boxing world behind him to focus on his family life. That is until Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors), Creed’s childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, resurfaces after his time in prison. His return reignites Donnie’s unresolved guilt involving their history together.
Attempting to free himself from this burden, he decides to help Damian restart his boxing career. But as the dark past that binds them proves to be too damaging, Donnie is left with no choice but to come out of his retirement and fight his former friend. However, their tense face-off is more than just a fight, it’s to settle the score between them once and for all.
Sylvester Stallone did not reprise his character as Rocky Balboa in the third Creed movie. With this notable change, the Creed franchise has finally mustered the courage to separate itself from Rocky Balboa’s iconic shadow. Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, and Phylicia Rashad all return to reprise their roles.
Ryan Coogler, who also co-wrote and directed the first Creed film and served as an executive producer on Creed II, received story credit for Creed III.
