In her third directorial role, Elizabeth Banks brings the true story of a huge black bear that consumed a crazy amount of drugs to the big screen with Cocaine Bear. While the events in the film are fictitious, the American black bear unintentionally ingesting cocaine in the forest is very much real. So what would happen if an enormous mammal ingested a staggering load of cocaine? In Banks’ version of events, a coke-fueled rampage and seemingly endless gore. Here’s how you can watch Cocaine Bear online in Australia.

What’s in this Guide?

Cocaine Bear plot

In a Georgia forest, a drug runner’s plane crash causes ferocious mayhem when missing cocaine becomes a black bear’s meal. As it roams around high and more wildly dangerous than ever, cops, criminals, tourists, and teens converge in the forest for different reasons, becoming the bear’s obvious targets and the subject of its drug-loaded frenzy and bigger appetite for blood.

There’s Sari (Keri Russell) who ventures into the forest to look for her daughter Dee Dee (Brooklynn Prince) after she skips school with her best friend Henry (Christian Convery). Drug kingpin Syd White, played by the late Ray Liotta, also joins in on the chaos. Determined to retrieve the remaining cocaine, he sends his fixer Daveed (O’Shea Jackson Jr.) and son Eddie (Alden Ehrenreich) to get the job done.

Director Elizabeth Banks designed the movie as the “bear’s revenge story” with the plot differing from actual events. The real-life Cocaine Bear didn’t attack or kill anyone after ingesting drugs and its consumption of coke even led to its fatal overdose. The script for the film was written by Jimmy Warden with Banks also serving as producer alongside Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Max Handelman, Brian Duffield, and Aditya Sood.
