Chloe TV series preview
Becky is a timid, social media-obsessed in her 20s, who also suffers from poor self-esteem and paranoia while working as a temp and living with her mother, who has early-onset dementia. On Instagram, Becky compares herself to picture-perfect lives, obsessively returning to one account: Chloe Fairbourne, the wife of a local politician and her childhood friend. Becky obsessively watches Chloe’s seemingly flawless life on social media. But when Chloe dies suddenly, Becky discovers that Chloe called her minutes before her death.
Eager to find out what really happened to her, Becky disguises herself as Sasha and arranges a “chance” meeting with Chloe’s best friend, Livia, at an art event, followed by another encounter at a yoga class. She then infiltrates Chloe’s close-knit group of pals. She also gets a job outside of her actual work expertise using Livia’s contacts while she tries to figure out why Chloe died unexpectedly. Armed with her newfound willpower, she lives a lot more adventurous life as her new alter-ego than she does as Becky. But when does it all stop, and more importantly, what really happened to Chloe?
How many seasons are there?
The BBC first announced the series in February 2020. Amazon Studios then announced on 20th April 2021 that it will co-produce the series, which currently has only one season with 6 episodes.
