Chicago Fire Season 13 is set to be another action-packed season.

The Chicago franchise continues this year with Season 13, just months after the twelfth season debuted earlier this year. The show has always been a big hit with Aussie TV fans, and the latest season should be no different with new faces and new heroic saves to feature.

Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, who penned the screenplays for 2 Fast 2 Furious, 3:10 to Yuma, and Wanted, created the action drama series, which first aired back in 2012.

Is Chicago Fire available on Amazon Prime Video?

Another subscription-based service that offers Chicago Fire in Australia is Amazon Prime Video, which currently has seasons 1-10 of the show.

Fortunately, Prime still offers a 30-day free trial, which is quite a generous entry point to check out Amazon. Once you have had your fill for a month, you can decide to renew or cancel your subscription.

In Australia, subscription plans for Amazon Prime Video are available for as low as $9.99 per month (with ads). Plus, it is a part of the larger Prime membership that includes shopping and other goodies. The annual plan works out to be cheaper with a $79 membership for 12 months.

What is Chicago Fire Season 13 be about?

Chicago Fire is the first instalment of the Chicago franchise, followed by Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and the short-lived Chicago Justice. The show follows the life of Chicago Fire Department firefighters, rescuers, and paramedics in the fictitious Chicago Firehouse 51, which is home to Engine Company 51, Truck Company 81, Rescue Squad Company 3, Battalion 25, and Ambulance 61.

So, what’s next for the firefighters of Firehouse 51? While the previous Chicago Fire Season 12 featured the return of Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) after his absence in Chicago Fire Season 11, the team just lost another beloved member with Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) exiting the show after 12 seasons, although it would seem he’s still returning as a recurring character.

Boden’s departure was a result of his winning the position for Chief Wallace Boden, which entails him leaving his crew. If Boden’s words are anything to go by, Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) is next in line to replace the former Battalion chief, having passed the Battalion chief exam and becoming a captain.

But with Dermot Mulroney joining the main cast in the new season, Herrmann’s time has yet to come. It’s been confirmed last July that Mulroney will be playing the role of Chief Dom Pascal, Boden’s replacement. Little is known about Firehouse 51’s new chief; we’ll know soon enough with Chicago Fire Season 13 landing on our TV screens tonight!

Daniel Kyri became a regular cast member starting Chicago Fire Season 9, playing Firefighter Candidate Darren Ritter.

Eamonn Walker’s Deputy District Chief Wallace Boden, on the other hand, is leaving the regular crew but will return as a recurring character. Dermot Mulroney’s Chief Dom Pascal is set to replace him as Firehouse 51’s new chief.
