Acclaimed for its writing, humour, and performances, Barry returns with its final season. It stars Bill Hader as Barry Berkman, a discharged Marine turned hitman. Despite the dark and unredeemable nature of his ‘work’, he finds himself drawn into theatre and the community of artists that sparked his need for connection.
As he builds another life using a new version of himself he didn’t know he had, Barry is caught between his grim past and a possible future sans violence. But with the third season delivering shocking turn of events one after another, does the hitman turned aspiring actor really stand a chance to turn over a new leaf? You’ll find out soon enough with the final Barry Season 4 dropping in Australia in April.

Barry Season 4 preview
Ever since Barry has been introduced to the world of performing, he never wants to stop. In fact, he wants to take it more seriously and even considers doing it full-time. But in his line of work, being a contract killer that is, getting out means endless chaos and complications. That’s not going to stop him from pursuing his newfound passion though, which, ironically Barry discovers when travelling to Los Angeles to kill a target.
Throughout the series, Barry has sworn to stop killing. However, his resolve to turn his life around does not sit well with his fellow criminals, especially his handler Monroe Fuches, who persistently drags Barry back into a life of crime. Starting over even becomes harder when Barry kills Detective Janice Moss (Paula Newsome) after she found out about him. Detective Moss had a romantic relationship with Barry’s acting instructor, Gene.
All the complexities in Season 3 will continue in Season 4 with Barry now out of the acting class and sitting behind bars. Following his arrest, there’s really nothing left for him to do except seek redemption. Suffering alongside him are the people who ended up caring about him as they struggle to accept his brutal past.
Bill Hader has won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series twice for his performance as Barry. He’s also the co-creator of the series alongside Alec Berg. Henry Winkler, who plays Barry’s acting coach and mentor Gene Cousineau, also won Outstanding Supporting Actor for his performance in the first season.
