More than a decade after the premiere of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water continues to soar high at the box-office, having been in cinemas for five weeks now. The sequel follows Jake Sully, Ney’tiri, and their family years after the events of 2009’s Avatar. Keeping each other safe and close, they once again fight battles and endure tragedies when an old nemesis resurfaces and threatens their home and their very existence.
Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, and Stephen Lang reprise their roles from the first film. Sigourney Weaver, who played Dr. Grace Augustine in Avatar, also returns to reprise her role and play her character’s daughter, Kiri.
