All That Breathes documentary preview
In one of the world’s most populated cities, injured black kites dropping from New Delhi’s smog choked skies is not an unusual sight. But two brothers rising to the occasion to treat injured birds day and night in their makeshift avian basement hospital is an incredible story that bears repeating.
As environmental degradation and civil unrest escalate, the relationship between the brothers and the birds’ plight makes for a poignant chronicle of the city’s deteriorating ecology and aggravating social division.
Moreover, All That Breathes is a multi-layered portrait that underscores the brothers’ bond and how that bond is strengthened by their life-affirming purpose while navigating a rapidly changing city.
