As the 2025 NRL season approaches, the Panthers are determined to defend their title and secure a fifth consecutive premiership. The Panthers will kick off their season on March 2 against the Cronulla Sharks at BlueBet Stadium, aiming to continue their dominance and make a statement in the opening match.

The 2025 NRL season is set to commence on March 2, 2025, featuring 27 rounds where each of the 17 teams will play 24 matches and receive three byes. The Finals Series is scheduled to begin in early September, culminating in the NRL Grand Final on October 5, 2025, at Accor Stadium in Sydney.
In a broadcasting deal that extends until the end of 2027, the Australian TV rights for the Penrith Panthers and the 2025 NRL season have been secured by Foxtel and the Nine network.
Channel Nine will continue to broadcast up to three live games a week (Thursday night, Friday night, and Sunday afternoon), as well as an additional live Saturday night match during the last five rounds of the regular season. But, all of these matches will also be available on Foxtel/Kayo.
Channel Nine does, however, have exclusive live TV rights to the State of Origin series and the 2025 Grand Final.

The matches will be carried on the 24/7 dedicated Fox League channel, where the programming will be formatted for 4K Ultra HD. In addition to every regular season NRL match available live, Foxtel Now and Kayo Sports currently offer new subscribers a free trial.

Watch select Penrith Panthers games on free-to-air channel Nine
The Nine Network, better known as Channel 9, is the official NRL free to air broadcaster and will show a select number of Penrith Panthers matches live during the 2025 Premiership season.
That’s because under the newest NRL broadcasting agreement, Nine could only secure three live games a week during the first 22 rounds, and then up to four live matches in rounds 23-27.
As a consolation of sorts, channel Nine does have exclusive TV rights to the State of Origin series, and the NRL Grand Final.
Nine’s TV coverage is headed by Erin Moran, alongside a commentary team made up of Andrew Johns, Billy Slater and James Bracey. Nine also offers live simulcast streaming using the 9Now app, but these are limited to the games they broadcast and do not offer full match replays.
