Stream NBA Preseason with Kayo

You can do little wrong by subscribing to Kayo for all your basketball needs. Kayo make it easy to support your favourite NBA team, even if they’re playing at awkward hours. Let’s face it, most of us are going to be working when the NBA is on during the middle of the day here. While working from home allows for a few more luxuries, it’s not advisable to watch NBA when you’re employer is paying you! Even worse if you decide to do it when you’re back in the office!

Kayo provides the functionality to recall all the action after its originally been broadcast. This allows us to watch every slam dunk and lay up when it suits us better. After or before work, or just not within standard business hours. These abilities go well beyond the preseason too, as it facilitates this throughout the regular season. With games in the NBA taking place thick and fast, you’ll never be without top-level basketball to watch.

Packages start from as little as $25 per month and there’s no lock-in contract to worry about if your circumstances change. Or if your favourite team looks terrible during the preseason, you can leave! Or you could just pick another team!

If you’re a brand new customer of Kayo you can take advantage of a 7-day free trial period. This allows you to test out the court feel of the service before parting with your money. If timed right you could watch quite a few games for free too!

NBA Preseason preview

This year the first game of the warm-up phase will see the Washington Wizards play the reigning champions, the Golden State Warriors. This game has added significance, with it taking place in Saitama as part of the NBA Japan games programme. Should the international flavour attract you the NBA Abu Dhabi games welcome the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks in October.

The Milwaukee Bucks play the Memphis Grizzlies, the beaten finalists from last season the Boston Celtics host the Charlotte Hornets at TD Garden and the Houston Rockets face off against the San Antonio Spurs – all on the opening weekend.

If you’re interested in the eternally popular Los Angeles Lakers, they’re not scheduled to play until October 4th, 1:30 pm AEDT, when they match up against the Sacramento Kings. The Chicago Bulls play at a similar time the day after too, meaning if you want to get behind the 1990s basketball nostalgia train, you’re going to have to do it midweek!

Be sure to look at our schedule below to ensure you circle the key dates for your team in both the preseason schedule and the regular season campaign.

Five Rings for LeBron or Curry?

Four NBA Championship rings or even just one might be enough for your standard NBA player. After all with so many players across all the franchises, many don’t get anywhere near the playoffs, let alone tangible silverware. LeBron James and Steph Curry aren’t mortals on the court, however, now tied on four rings each, can either get their hands on another – and the same number as GOATs like Los Angeles Lakers’ icon Kobe Bryant and Dennis Rodman won during their historic careers. The latter of course picking up rings with the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls.

Does Beverley Improve the Los Angeles Lakers?

Patrick Beverley couldn’t disguise his excitement in a tweet that said he ‘woke up a Laker’ after the deal went through for him to join the roster at Crypto.com Arena. The 34-year-old is no stranger to success having picked up multiple titles during his tenures in Ukraine, Greece, and even the Russian leagues.

However, like a fortified wine, the point guard has aged imperiously having proven his worth since returning to the US. He even played for the other LA franchise, the Los Angeles Clippers, being named to the 2017 All-Defensive First Team in his first season in California.

His physicality and intensity will no doubt inject a much-needed dosage of passion to the Los Angeles Lakers, which can only improve what was a limp team last season having won a lacklustre 33 games out of 82.
