Foxtel Launches its First Loyalty Program 'Foxtel First'

Loyalty programs greatly add value to any service customers subscribe to. Telstra’s Telstra Plus has definitely made signing up more worthwhile, adding validity in your decision to join. Now it’s Foxtel’s turn with the launch of the tenure-based loyalty program Foxtel First.

With the rise of loyalty programs in Australia today,  customers tend to look for more than just a service. Now it’s all about benefits and countless rewards. Foxtel’s newly-launched loyalty program Foxtel First will deliver exactly that. However, unlike points-based rewards programs encouraging customers to spend more, Foxtel First is all about tenure. The longer you are with Foxtel, the more exciting rewards you’ll get.  Foxtel already houses exclusive rights to the hottest TV shows, movies, and sporting events. The addition of Foxtel First certainly spices things up.

After testing the program by inviting select customers to join Foxtel Access via email, Foxtel today announced the launch of its customer loyalty program, Foxtel First. However, instead of collecting points, the company’s rewards system is based on continuous customer tenure. This makes Foxtel First as one of the first tenure-based loyalty programs in Australia.

“The launch of Foxtel First is about recognising our customers’ loyalty based on how long they have been with us. It delivers customers more value through experiences and benefits which only get better the longer they have been with us,” said Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany.

Foxtel’s new loyalty program provides customers access to movie screenings and tickets to major events. And these are just the initial perks. The longer you stay with Foxtel, the grander the benefits will be. Membership levels are as follows: Bronze (0-3 years), Silver (3-8 years), Gold (8-15 years), and Diamond (15+ years). Members can immediately see their membership level as soon as they register and enjoy the rewards available to them.

Currently, Foxtel First gives members access to some of Foxtel’s most prominent content in advance, as well as access to event tickets and competitions that can easily translate to noteworthy experiences. This summer, Foxtel First members can also score free tickets to Australia’s most talked-about sporting events including Cricket, A-League, and the Australian Grand Prix

Foxtel even promises “money-can’t-buy” experiences like prize draws for a meet and greet with the stars of Wentworth and a behind the scenes tour, passes to attend Alice Cooper’s Sydney concert with the chance to meet the rock star himself, and a red carpet attendance at the 2019 AACTA Awards — all including flights and accommodation.

Upon joining, customers can instantly enjoy a free Foxtel Store Movie and see their Foxtel First membership tier based on the years they’ve been with the company. Foxtel members will also be among the first ones to access the newest shows and “other hot picks every week on Bonus”.

Moreover, customers registered to Foxtel First get the best of Foxtel with exclusive offers on services like free or discounted Multi-room setup and iQ4 installation, depending on the membership level. The top-end levels, Gold and Diamond, are certainly to offer the best kinds of incentives. Foxtel First’s membership levels are in contrast with that of  Telstra Plus’ membership tiers, which is determined on accumulated points.

It was also this year that Telstra launched its rewards program, Telstra Plus. Telstra customers (except business) can register for free via their Telstra ID to earn points with every bill payment or purchase. Rewards include discounted movie tickets, as well as marked down prices to concerts and sporting events. Depending on the membership tier, more exciting benefits are up for grabs. Gold members, for instance, can get up to 3 months of Kayo and 6 months of Stan for free!

Foxtel First is now available to all Foxtel residential customers with a set top box. You can join via the My Foxtel app or My Account for free. On joining, you can start claiming the rewards available to your membership level. Meanwhile, Foxtel from Telstra subscribers can join Telstra’s loyalty program.
