The 2025 Formula One World Championship is set to be a landmark season, featuring a record 24 Grand Prix races across five continents. The season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne from March 14-16 and concludes in Abu Dhabi on December 5-7. Six Sprint races are scheduled in China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Brazil, and Qatar, with pre-season testing taking place in Bahrain from February 26-28.

As the 76th anniversary of the championship unfolds, F1 fans can watch every practice, qualifying session, and race live or on demand through multiple platforms.

This guide will provide the up-to-date details so you never need to miss a key moment involving your favourite driver or Grand Prix.

Where to Watch F1 live in Australia in 2025

The broadcast rights to all twenty-four championship races on the 2025 Formula One schedule belong exclusively to Fox Sports (Foxtel/Kayo). The lone exception to this is that Network Ten is allowed to simulcast live coverage of the Australian Grand Prix across free-to-air channels 10 and 10 Play.

Previously, Channel Ten offered one-hour highlight packages after every Formula One round on their 10 Play online platform. This season, however, Channel Ten has not indicated they will be providing any replay coverage. This means that if you’re looking to watch F1 live or on replay, the broadcast options in Australia involve the Fox Sports channel, which is available on Foxtel, Foxtel Now, or Kayo Sports. The wall-to-wall coverage on Fox Sports (Foxtel/Kayo) will include every F1 practice, qualifying session, and Grand Prix broadcast live, and ad-break free during racing.

Please note, Foxtel has been acquired by UK-based sports streamer DAZN in a $3.4 billion deal, expected to complete in the second half of fiscal 2025. This transition may influence broadcasting arrangements, so it’s advisable to stay updated on any changes as the season progresses.

As of 2025, Fox Sports (via Foxtel and Kayo) continues to hold exclusive broadcasting rights in Australia for all Formula 1 sessions, including practices, qualifying, and races. While live coverage remains ad-break free during racing, the availability of full replays throughout the following week has not been explicitly confirmed for the 2025 season. For the most current information on replay schedules, it’s advisable to consult the official Fox Sports Australia website or your local TV guide.

Fox Sports’ motorsport coverage extends beyond Formula 1 to include comprehensive Formula 2 and Formula 3 action, along with pre-race and post-race commentary shows. This ensures fans have access to a wide range of motorsport content throughout the season.
