Dune 2 is finally arriving on subscription streaming in Australia next week.

It’s another year for impressive movies and one of the highly anticipated titles to come out in 2024 is Dune 2. The talked-about sequel to the 2021 epic film, it continues the ambitious adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel of the same name with a stellar cast to boot.

In this equally riveting sequel, Paul Atreides decides to join the Fremen, which includes Chani, the girl from his visions. As he unites with the mysterious natives of Arrakis, he also embarks on a dangerous journey of revenge, seeking justice against enemies involved in the destruction of his family.

What is the plot of Dune: Part Two?

With House Atreides destroyed, Paul joins Chani and the Fremen to honour his father’s wishes of bringing peace in Arrakis. After what happened to his family, he’s no longer bound by fear and hesitation, only grief and the indomitable yearning for vengeance.

But as he continues his mystical journey, there’s a frightening future that only he can see and prevent. Paul must also confront the conspirators who brought upon his family’s destruction. His strength and resolve is further tested when facing an impossible choice: the love of his life or the fate of the universe.

Award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve returns to direct Dune: Part Two, which he also co-wrote with Jon Spaihts. The director is also one of the producers through his production company Villeneuve Films. Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe, and Patrick McCormick are also producers.
