Vacation Friends is set to come to Disney Plus in August. Disney has decided to skip the cinema and deliver the movie direct through their streaming service. The comedy stars WWE superstar John Cena alongside Meredith Hagner and Robert Wisdom. Find out how you can stream the movie right here.
Vacation Friends preview
A simple, straight-minded couple, Marcus and Emily, head on a vacation in Mexico. As they unwind and de-stress, they meet another couple, Ron and Kyla. The straight-laced duo soon find out that their new acquaintances are the polar opposite of them: Fun, free, and a lil’ bit crazy.
Ron and Kayla soon persuade the uptight couple to shed their inhibitions and try out new adventures. After walking on the wild side with their newfound friends, Marcus and Emily go back to their simple lives, and their pending marriage.
Everything seems like routine once again to Marcus and Emily. But on their wedding day, Ron and Kayla show up. Cue: chaos and utter bedlam. Marcus and Emily realise that they were playing with fire in Mexico.
Vacation Friends cast
Vacation Friends features an all-star cast lead by the ever-popular John Cena (Suicide Squad). Marcus and Emily are played by Lil Rel Howery and Yvonne Orji.
The movie also features a strong supporting cast of Meredith Hagner, Robert Wisdom, Andrew Bachelor, and Lynn Whitfield.
Vacation Friends is directed by Clay Tarver (Silicon Valley), and the movie has a quality writing team lead by Tom Mullen, along with Tim Mullen, Clay Tarver, Jonathan Goldstein, and John Francis Daley.
