In the battle between good and evil, the good doesn’t win all the time. However, if the good has some kind of flashy, powerful weapon he can leave behind, then someone worthy can eventually find it and continue the noble work of saving the world. And so the story of high school student Courtney Whitmore / Stargirl begins and continues on Stargirl Season 3.
Whitmore, played by Brec Bassinger, is a high school girl who inspires an entirely new generation of young heroes known as the Justice Society of America after she finds the Cosmic Staff of Starman. Now in its third season, you can find out how to watch the new episodes using this guide.

Stargirl Season 3 preview
After that battle against Eclipso in the Season 2 finale, fans have plenty of things to look forward to with the upcoming release of Stargirl Season 3; the return of Sylvester Pemberton aka Starman, for instance. While it’s already been established that Starman is alive in previous seasons, it’s only now that he’s going to stick around for good. But what could this mean for Courtney and the rest of the JSA?
The young heroine has surely something to learn from the veteran superhero, who offers to further train her as teased in the official Season 3 trailer. However, his more permanent presence in Blue Valley may also instigate some confusion. For starters, it could stir up the paternal sentiment Courtney previously felt for the superhero she once thought to be her real father.
The trailer is also hinting of a conflict between Starman and Pat Dugan, Stargirl’s stepfather, stemming from the fact that the Crocks now live next door. The Crocks, Steven Sharpe/The Gambler, and Cindy Burman/Shiv are all in Blue Valley attempting to be in their best behaviour, but not everyone is buying it, especially Pemberton and Yolanda Montez/Wildcat.
With these villains choosing to stay in Blue Valley for other reasons, it’s still unclear who the main antagonist for Season 3 will be. However, Helix Institute’s Mister Bones appears to be on his way to Blue Valley after learning about the superheroes and villains residing there.
Considering that the character was featured in the Stargirl Season 2 finale, it’s only reasonable to assume that we will see more of him in the third season. However, his intriguing arc in the comics is more complex to just be a standard villain. Could he be a new ally or a ruthless nemesis?
Stargirl was developed by Geoff Johns for DC Universe. It is based on Courtney Whitmore, a DC Comics character created by Johns and Lee Moder. Producers Geoff Johns, James Dale Robinson, and Melissa Carter have also written some episodes of the series.
