In a dramatic fashion, the previously undefeated Carlton experienced its first loss courtesy of the previously winless Adelaide. With only a two-point difference, it was a close call after Adelaide’s Sam Berry scored a goal with only one minute left in the game.
But, a closer call would be the one-point difference of Giants vs Saints, 11.14 (80) to 12.7 (79). The Saints actually had the chance to win the game before Giants’ James Peatling performed a game-saving intercept mark.
The Giants still remain undefeated throughout the season so far at 5-0. However, this victory game came with its own setbacks as injuries take hold of three of GWS’s players.
