What is Beatles ‘64 about?

Beatlemania reached new heights after The Beatles visited America and performed on The Ed Sullivan Show. The impact was so remarkable and helped the band’s popularity to explode internationally that it’s the subject of the new documentary Beatles ‘64, produced by Martin Scorsese.

It follows Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr as they land in New York City in February 1964, cementing their status as the greatest band in the world. Because there’s so much material on the band and their experiences that there’s always going to be never-before-seen footage, you can expect some rare footage that’s ought to be thrilling if you’re a true Beatles fan.

Directed by David Tedeschi, the documentary also features interviews with remaining The Beatles members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, who also produced the documentary alongside Scorsese, Margaret Bodde, Olivia Harrison, Sean Ono Lennon, Jonathan Clyde, and Mikaela Beardsley. Jeff Jones and Rick Yorn serve as executive producers.
