What is the plot of Alien: Romulus?
FeaturedThe new Alien movie follows a group of young space colonists who comes across an abandoned and run down space station. What they thought was their ticket out of the vastness of dark space turns out to be the very thing that will bring them their most nightmarish experience.
Set between the horrifying events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), the movie is directed by Fede Álvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe), who also co-wrote it with Rodo Sayagues. Original Alien director Ridley Scott serves as the film’s producer alongside Michael Pruss and Walter Hill.
Future Alien films were confirmed at the 2019 CinemaCon. By 2022, Álvarez was confirmed to direct the first movie from a story he pitched.
The new film features a new lineup of cast members that include Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), David Jonsson (Industry), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), and Isabela Merced (Turtles All The Way Down).
